Abbott Mount is situated at an altitude of about 7,000 ft and lies in Kumaon hills near the town of Lohaghat in Champawat District of Uttarakhand state of India. It offers panoramic views of Nepal and the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, from Gangotri cliff to the Dhaulagiri range.
Abbott Mount has not changed much since it was established in 20th century by a British businessman John Harold Abbott. There is a famous bungalow built by Mr. Abbot, in 1914, amidst the dense forests of oak and deodar.
