Agatti Island, Lakshadweep

Popularly known as the gateway to the Lakshadweep, The Agatti Island is at a distance of 459 km (248 nautical miles) from Kochi and is located the west of Kavaratti Island. The length of the island is about 6 km and the width is 1000 m approximately with a sparse population of around 7000.

Agatti Island  has Lakshadweep’s only airport, which must be among the tiniest in the world. With white sandy beaches, pristine water and turquoise blue lagoon, In the shimmering waters there are schools of colourful fish, live coral, sea anemone, starfish and sea cucumbers.
