Arjuneswar temple, Pithoragarh

Arjuneswar temple is located at a distance of 10 kms to the west of Pithoragarh town. It is situated at a height of 6000 ft above sea level and is reached by trekking or by the road leading to the top.

Arjuneswar temple is devoted to the Hindu Lord Shiva. It is believed that the temple is built by Arjuna of the Pandavas (the mythological characters of the Hindu epic, the Mahabharata).  Arjuna was considered as a great warrior and the best archer of the bygone era. the temple gets its name (Arjun) from it.

The temple can be visited any time but April to July are the  best months to visit temple
