Bageshwar is situated at an altitude of 1004 metres in Uttarakhand state of India. It is a religious town situated at the confluence of the two famous rivers, Saryu and Gomti. It is believed that this place is blessed by Lord shiva.

On the east falls the Bhileswar Mountains and the west has the Nileshwar Mountains. Bageshwar is the base camp for treks to popular glaciers like Pindari, Kafni and Sunderdhunga.
