Bedni Bugyal is a beautiful picturesque place situated at an altitude of 3,354m in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It is a high altitude meadow located on the slopes of the Trishul massif. The peaks of Nanda Ghunti and chaukhamba are also clearly visible from here.
The trek to Bedni Bugyal and Ali Bugyal passes through lush green grassy land, conifer forest clinging into the slopes of hills and steep climbs. There is a lake called Vaitarani or Bedni Kund near by and also a small temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha called Kalu Vinayak, as a black idol of Lord Ganesh is worshipped there. Ali-Bugyal is another verdant undulating meadow above the tree line, which is equally enchanting.
