Chaukhutia is a very beautiful town located on the banks of Ramganga river in the Almora  district of Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region. It is located at an elevation of 1646 metres above sea level.

Chaukhutia’s context four feet means four ways in four directions. From Chaukhutia, one can reach Ramnagar, Karnaprayag, Almora and Kheera.

Kali Temple popularly known as Agneri Devi Temple, dedicated to Hindu Goddess Kali is situated here on the bank of Ram Ganga River. Vaishno Devi temple, ancient fort and ruins and monuments built during the rule of the Katyuri Kings all makes Chaukhutia an explorer & delight. Pandukholi are stunning caves, believed to have been built by the Pandavas during their stay in the region.

It is situated on NH87 which meets at Karnaprayag with NH58 to reach Badrinath. well connected to nearest town Ranikhet,  Ramnagar, Karnaprayag, Almora, Badrinath, Nainital, Kausani and Kheera.
