Om Parvat is an ancient holy Hindu Himalayan mountain peak at an altitude of 6191 m, in the Himalayan Range lying in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Om Parvat is also known as Adi Kailash, Little Kailash, Jonglingkong Peak, Baba Kailash and Chhota Kailash.
Beautiful ‘Parvati lake’ and ‘Jonglingkong lake’ are situated near Om Parvat. The Jonglingkong lake is sacred like Mansarovar to the Hindus. The opposite to Om Parvat there is a mountain called Parwati Muhar, and snow over it shines like crown in sunlight. Gauri Kund, situated at the foot of the mountain is famous for the water of which reflects the image of the mountain.
According to the Hindu legends there are eight such OM symbols in the Himalayan Mountains and at present the world has been able to discover only one which we know as – OM Parvat.
