Udaipur is a beautiful city situated in the state of Rajasthan in western India. It is located at the base of the Aravali mountain range. It was founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559 as the capital of the Mewar kingdom. Udaipur has many names – ‘City of sunrise’, ‘City of lakes’ and ‘Venice of the East’.

This palace located at at an elevation of 944 m above sea level and constructed by Maharana Sajjan Singh in the year 1884 to see the monsoon clouds from its top.
